Eco-friendly flat – a 100 sq. m space where a five-person-family is settled. The lords decided not to move to another place, but has bought the flat situated over them and after a discussion with an architect has connected these two flats to one.
On the ground floor the public use facilities were designed: dining room, games room and guest room. The upper floor fits work room, washroom, three children’s rooms and bedroom. Ecological solutions for renovation, firm, reliable and natural materials and environmentally-friendly systems were used.
Although three children live in a flat, the interior is almost no different from an “adult” interior. In some places brighter colors are simply used, children rooms themselves are very tasteful and not overloaded with toys – everything has its own place.
Windows which improve the heating qualities are placed and recycled jeans are used as an isolating material! To improve the quality of air and water, various filters together with the shower an irrigation filters and systems are installed.
I cannot say anything about other environment manifestations because I haven’t found any information. Generally talking, I couldn’t even call it ECO-FRIENDLY because in this case we would see a completely different interior appearance and pieces of furniture. Probably, it is named like that because of several factors which save nature. I'd call this interior style as mid-century modern.
