Already in 2013 I was writing about combining the old and the new in interior and about the fact that it will be the interior trend of that year. Now it’s already 2016, however, this principle is no less popular.
Admit that to see the modern furniture in classical space and vice versa – classical ancient furniture in a modern space is real refreshment for the eyes and leaves and indelible impression – the bigger the contrast the huger the impression. Of course you must feel moderation and have the feeling of particular style, otherwise, you’ll only get unstylish kitsch from those good wishes.
If you’ve acquired the old apartment building and ceiling with bas-reliefs, rosettes and other authentic details remained there, don’t hurry to hide them under suspended drywall ceiling – you can perfectly “integrate” them and into ultra modern interior.
