This 18 sq.m apartment is from such series where anonymous commentators can't call it home. Well, yes, that’s the area of one normal-size-room but such small flats aren’t a novelty now. Not only in France or Hong Kong (where people live in 1,85-square-metre-flats), but also in Lithuania. Most usually students settle in the flats of such size or artists establish a workshop / studio over there.
As it should be in such a size apartment everything is as functional / sliding / hidden as it can be or can be used in any other way. For example, a dining table is rather smartly hidden as if in the furniture of the entrance hall. Even 3 or 4 people fit in to a folding table and cabinets which replace shoe boxes. Only the most necessary technique is accommodated in the kitchen – that is a sink and a double hob. Well, a microwave also found the place for itself. A mini guest room and a work zone which transfers to a bedroom when you open the sofa is very close. Where you only look at there is a great majority of cabinets, therefore, there’s a lot of space for items.
That’s indeed a very good example how to fit such basic zones into such a small space.
